How Achla uses essential browser storage and how you can manage it.

Launch draft. This page explains how Achla intends to operate. Before public launch, the legal operating entity, physical address and monitored support inboxes must be confirmed and this draft reviewed by Kenyan legal counsel.

What we use

Achla currently uses an essential authentication cookie and small items of browser storage for your cookie choice and, if you allow it, your display preference. We do not currently run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies in this MVP.

Essential session cookie

When you sign in, the service uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie to keep your account signed in. It is necessary for authentication and cannot be switched off while using account-only features. Signing out removes the active session from the browser.

Your cookie choice and display preference

We save your choice between Essential only and Accept preferences in local storage so we do not repeatedly show the choice. If you accept preferences, the light or dark display setting is also saved in your browser’s local storage. Choosing Essential only removes any saved display preference; the site then follows your device setting for the current visit.

Managing browser data

You can remove cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Removing essential session data signs you out and may prevent account features from working until you sign in again. If we add analytics, advertising or non-essential cookies, this policy and the consent experience will be updated before they are used.
